Freelance Writer and Marketing Strategist
I am a writer and marketing strategist focused on content creation and project management. My work has won two national first-place marketing awards from the American Public Transportation Association. At state and national conferences I've given presentations about marketing, social media best practices, and app-based transit services.
My news articles have been published in The Oregonian, Oregon Business Magazine, Portland Mercury and Just Out. I have a master's degree in creative writing from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. Can you tell I love writing?
I bring this creativity to the table when I work with clients. I'm a planner and a doer, from the first steps of establishing marketing goals to editing final proofs. I'm based in Portland, Oregon and I work with clients throughout the state.
I love opportunities to learn new skills and stay abreast of the constantly evolving digital landscape. Recently I took the writing classes Reach Readers Online and Rev Up Readability through the Public Relations Society of America. In the past I've attended Swivel (formerly Bend WebCAM) and Engage (formerly SearchFest) digital marketing conferences. I've also volunteered as critique coordinator for the annual Willamette Writers Conference, connecting aspiring writers with agents and other industry professional.
